UFC 76 Chuck Liddell vs Kieth Jardine

Chuck Liddell enters the octagon after losing to New “World” Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton Jackson. Jackson has since gone on to defeat Pride champ Dan Henderson. Liddell has been accused of hand picking his opponent Keith Jardine. Jardine isn’t a top calliber fighter in the light heavyweight division, but will put up some resistance Saturday night.

Chuck Liddell has been training hard as usual, but still lives the rock star life. Keith is training hard, trying to survive and should be hungry as hell. Our UFC 76 Prediction is Chuck Liddell winning by KO or TKO in the first round.

On the undercard we’ll get to see Diego Sanchez redeem himself against John Fitch. It has been said that Fitch has been studying Sanchez while helping his spar partner Josh Koschek prepare for his fight with Diego.

Truth is Diego came out against Koschek flat. If he came out with his normal intensity, like GSP did against Koschek, he would have blown right by him. Diego, take this lesson to heart, If you want to win another fight in the UFC, you had better show up pissed off with fire in your eyes.

Our UFC 75 prediction for the Diego Sanchez vs John Fitch fight, Sanchez by KO in the first round as well. This will be a short night for the co-main events.

Muay Thai master could be next for Henderson

4 09 2007

This weekend Dan Henderson will take the UFC title to the Pride Fighting organization when he dismantles Quinton Jackson.  Since most UFC fans are binge drinking college kids, they are blissfully unaware that Henderson owns the title Quinton Jackson used to chase while he was with Pride, but never got close to.

Quinton Jackson is a great fighter.  He has knocked Chuck Liddell out twice in his career.  Why is he not the favorite in this fight?  Simple. The UFC has the best fighters in the US, not the world.  Dan Henderson is an American Fighter who has never stepped foot in an octagon.  He is the only person in Pride history to own two title belts in different weight classes at the same time.  He has the 185lb and 205lb titles.

Hopefully after he takes Quinton Jacksons title at 205lbs he challenges Anderson Silva (185lb) for his UFC title.  Anderson Silva also happens to be a UFC Champion who formerly fought in the Pride Fighting organization and never got close to a title fight there.  Bloggers have been seething for years that the UFC gets all of the attention when Pride has the better fighters, well boys……….. It’s finally time to put those words to the test.

If Anderson Silva is in fact next for Henderson, Dana White and the UFC have a few problems on their hands.  When in doubt, pay Henderson more money to come and fight for the UFC.
